2021.12.07 02:57 username472928474 Trying to connect with my culture

I am a 19F and I just found out that I was switched at birth. My parents accidentally took me home while my biological parents took home some other child. But my whole life I knew something was different. I knew I wasn’t actually blood related even tho I had no proof. I couldn’t shake the feeling that there was a part of me that just wasn’t there but it was supposed to be, years later I finally took a dna test. It turns out I’m half Japanese. When I found that out it was like something clicked inside of me, like the missing part of me had finally been found. I’m of course ecstatic to find this out but it also makes me sad. I don’t know any Japanese people or anyone who could teach me about my culture, so I just feel like I’ll never be able to truly embrace my culture when in all reality I would love to. Does anyone know anything I could do to try to reconnect with my culture?
Disclaimer: I know you might ask yourself how I didn’t know I was half Japanese until now, but the other half of me is white and that half of me is very present. I’m also not interesting in finding my biological parents right now. I have my parents who have raised and loved me for my whole life and that’s all I need right now. Thank you!

As I interpret scripture it's almost out duty as gentiles to be good to and look out for the chosen people of God (Jews). I don't understand what the argument is from Christians against the Jewish state of Israel? Would love to discuss.

2021.12.07 02:57 Full_Senddd My College Essay over Reaganomics, any form of feedback is appreciated

During the peak of the 1980s, the young author Bret Easton Ellis found himself surrounded by the crazy atmosphere of New York. Ellis’s most famous novel “American Psycho” took him over three years to write; due to being caught up in the frenzy of constant nightclubbing, casual sex, drugs, and alcohol all of which played a major factor into the setting and main protagonist in the novel, Patrick Bateman, a neurotic serial killer who also happens to be the young Vice President of a major financial firm. The so called “Yuppies” or young Wall Street business executives that Ellis constantly found himself surrounded by in nightclubs, rose to prominence largely due to the policies of then President Ronald Reagan.
Supply-side economics is an economic theory, popularized by President Ronald Reagan aimed at assisting both the rich and poor, and ever since the adoption of Reaganomics it has had its fair share of both critics and supporters. Those leaning more towards the left on the political spectrum argue that ever since the concept of supply-side economics hit the mainstream, there has been a growing division of wealth in disparity between the social classes. However, most on the right argue that because President Reagan achieved most of his goals when it came to his economic policies, if adopted today they would have the same effect on the economy and society.
Throughout most of the 20th century the United States followed the demand-side doctrines of British economist John Maynard Keynes, and the New Deal polices of President Franklin D. Roosevelt in the 1930s. Historian H.W. Brands explains the goals of demand-side policies in his novel Reagan: The Life stating “that ensuring sufficient demand would keep the economy growing and the country prosperous. When private demand fell short, as during the Great Depression, the government should step in with public demand” (260). With the economy plummeting and inflation rising during President Jimmy Carter’s administration (1977-1981), many Americans felt the need for a change in our economic system. In comes Ronald Reagan, the former actor and Governor of California who firmly believes that he can fix our country by adopting supply-side principles by persuading people that the Government in fact is the problem. Elected to the presidency in 1980, President Ronald Reagan challenged congress to enact his four-part plan in his first state of union address. In part one he called for $49 billion dollars in cuts for government spending, besides the department of defense believing the Soviet Union as a threat to security. In part two he called for tax cuts on the wealthy, part three called for deregulation and part four dealt with monetary policy.
During the very early stages of President Reagan’s administration, he dealt with his fair share of criticism even by people from his own political party such as his future Vice President and future U.S. President George H.W. Bush who labeled Reagan’s economic plan as “voodoo economics.” Even one of the most popular terms of President Reagan’s economic program “trickle-down economics” originated as negative term used by the opponents of President Reagan. Later, however, the term itself evolved describing the process of the tax cuts on wealthy corporations creating monetary benefits to create higher profits. The “trickling-down” process then would occur once the business expands their output by hiring more employees receiving benefits in the form of wages. President Reagan also believed that by giving significant tax cuts to the wealthy, they would in turn invest, leading to greater economic growth.
When Reaganomics finally got implemented into place and the benefits showed, the President’s approval rating skyrocketed and one group that highly supported the President were Christian evangelist. According to Professor Michael J. McVicker for his column in the academic journal Church History McVicker is quoted saying “Supply-Sider efforts to lower obstacles to individual productivity and emphasize personal responsibility matched long-held Christian beliefs about self-transformation” (806). In other words, many Conservative Christians devoutly took a stand in politics and felt that it was their duty to cherish and support policies that positively impacted one’s community.
Opponents to President Reagan’s economic policy at the time argue that other factors were involved with the economic success of the 1980s. For instance, though inflation decreased between 1981 to 1986, Professor Michael Comiskey argues in the academic journal Polity that “this decline was aided by a sharp deceleration in the rise of oil prices after the first quarter of 1981” (319). Others on the left also argue that due to the major tax cuts in the Reagan administration, the United States were more than ever reliant on funds from foreign nations which in turn caused the United States to become the world’s largest debtor and by the end of his presidency in 1989, the national debt reached nearly a trillion. Additionally, Reagan’s opponents argue that the President’s tax-cuts played a major factor to unemployment in the country which reached up to 11%.
Over 30 years after President Reagan left office most if not all Republicans agree with the leadership and vigor that Ronald Reagan left behind in the oval office and many argue that his economic policies got us out of the recession and inflation, and some even go as far saying that Reaganomics ended the Cold War when our military and economy outpaced the Soviet Union. Today virtually every Republican running for political office has promised to follow in the footsteps of President Reagan and ever since Reagan left office several Republican Presidents have attempted to follow his economic polices of tax-cuts including President George W. Bush and President Donald Trump.
On the contrary modern Democrats and even some moderate Republicans argue that the theory of supply-side economics wouldn’t ever work today due to the sharp increase in wealth in disparity that President Reagan left behind. In a PBS column titled “How Reaganomics, deregulation and bailouts led to the rise of Trump” economist and professor John Kolmos argues that due to the super tax-cuts in the Reagan era the 1% has begun to use their extra money to help fund various political campaigns resulting in them having more influence in government than ever. According to Kolmos the most infamous of which figure being President Donald Trump, a billionaire who ran on the campaign of promising to return jobs back to the U.S. and for this he garnered a lot of support from the so called “silent majority.”
Based on one’s religion and family traits the legacy of President Reagan and Reaganomics may gradually become murky over time. Although no one can deny the successful economy in the 1980s the topic of Reaganomics today would create mass controversy in an already extreme partisan federal government.

2021.12.07 02:57 travsaidit Alien or Robot - Elon Musk & The Zuckerberg

Me and my friend were having a conversation that sparked a little laughter but also a serious discourse.

Alien or Robot

My opinion: Elon is an Alien & Zuckerberg is the Robot
Zuckerberg is a robot who does not know how to be a human who is trying so hard to be human that his A.I cant handle the emotions of a human being. Intelligence and lacking human emotions is a combination for a world of IRobot (thanks Boston dynamics. )
PS. BBQ SAUCE ON A SHELF (as a robot he has seen what humans eat)
Elon Musk - Alien trying to get home, learned to love the people here on earth but overall knows that we are doomed. he is Casper the friendly alien.
PS. Son's name: X Æ A-Xii > Case in point he is an alien. incase he dies his home planet can bring his son home.

Friends opinion: Elon is a Robot & Zuckerberg is the Alien
Zuckerberg is an alien because of world domination and social engineering progression into acquiring internet and mind-control
the progression of mental slavery with a fixation on owning EVERYTHING
ps. bbq sauce on a shelf... if that's not a alien ... IDK what is.
Elon Musk - Logical, too smart, overwhelming technical knowledge with a high aptitude of morality programmed into its A.I
The strive for Elon to reach other planets as if its only goal. as a robot does fixate on a goal. High dreams of terraforming which is the perfect attribute of a robot.
PS. ROBOT PAPERCLIP THEORY

2021.12.07 02:57 korsurr Capitol CPTL coin. New BSC Coin Now Listed in Hundreds of News Articles

Any thoughts on this upcoming coin? Seems like this could pan out to be pioneering something new in the crypto landscape, and maybe a ironically relatively safe investment in the iffy waters of BSC coins.
You can find some of the news articles they are listed in from this search result: "TheHunger.Games is a Brand New DeFi Blockchain Gaming Platform That Seeks to Make DeFi Completely Accessible" - Google Search
Eg: TheHunger.Games is a Brand New DeFi Blockchain Gaming Platform That Seeks to Make DeFi Completely Accessible (thefinancialcapital.com)
Sites to find CPTL:
thehunger.games
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/capitol
" DeFi feels too complicated for the average crypto enthusiast. It is foreign to many in the crypto community, and most people do not understand the concept behind it talk more of its usage.
To make DeFi accessible to the crypto world, TheHunger.Games ($CPTL), a DeFi blockchain gaming platform, was created. Reckoned to be one of the most ambitious projects on the Blockchain network, TheHunger.Games ($CPTL) is an ever-expanding Blockchain gaming project that offers an entirely decentralized (DeFi) ecosystem.
It focuses on making DeFi accessible to members of the crypto community and the uninitiated alike to establish an easily navigable pathway across all 13 district systems. TheHunger.Games is a combination of the two most dominant industries within the tech and virtual space. It combines the fast-rising cryptocurrency blockchain and the ever-present gaming or e-sport technology to create a platform for users.
These users may not necessarily be gamers to have fun doing what they enjoy and accumulate wealth during the process via their ownership and continued holding of $CPTL. Built around the Capitol Token, the first distinct feature of The Hunger Game will be a non-fungible token (NFT) mint/auction house that will reflect BUSD royalties of up to 2% on every transaction made carried out by CPTL holders. In addition to a thriving ecosystem being built around it, experts say this will be one of the most standout "foundational block[s] for future Dapps."
Interestingly, the ecosystem is consistently paying reflections back to faithful holders. Holders of CPTL enjoy discounted and even free services within the ecosystem, including numerous opportunities. Therefore, TheHunger.Games is an asset and an opportunity for growth which is more beneficial in the short- and long-term than any blockchain project.
According to the developer's statement published on a website dedicated to the project, “TheHunger.Games comes at a significant period in human history—the age of information. Unlike previous generations, many of us have a hunger for advancing our species that has never been seen in Human Society. In addition, we have a global economy now, and the institutions have pointed to hinder any development of that economy outside of their tidy little box.”
As an incentive-driven project, The Hunger Games is as interesting as it gets and is indeed a project for the future because it places the long-term benefits of its investors ahead of everything else. Users nonetheless have a steady stream of passive income for as long as they hold CPTL. Thus, CPTL does not only pay rewards, but every aspect of The Hunger Games ecosystem operates a reward-based system for CPTL holders. For more information, please visit www.thehunger.games or send an email to [wut@thehunger.games](mailto:wut@thehunger.games). "
